Opposite Idle on the 460

I have search the forums about idle questions, most deal with high idle after warm up, the surge idle or sputtering idle. While the information in these threads have been very helpful and very informative. I still have an interesting, at least to me, problem. As the title suggests the idle I have is low on cold start, 5 to 7 hundred rpm's and as the truck warms up the idle increases to a fully warmed truck of 12 to 15 hundred. The idle is perfect, no spit, no sputter, no other performance problems. Any thoughts as to this idle curve? My first thought was maybe the wires were backwards but the wiring looks to be original, no tampering.

chrismd188 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Have you pulled codes yet?

Sounds like your IAC is not operational to me.

I was doing some other work on the truck and decided to pull the IAC and the TB, and cleaned them. Since this is the most recommended for the high or bad idle. When I put everything back together the idle was at 8 to 9 hundred then dropped to 700 to 750. Thank you for the reply's. I couldn't do any codes because I had disconnected the battery a couple days before when I first started to work on the truck. I will post picks of the truck later.

You can still run the Key On Engine Off (KOEO) tests......CM may be empty but the KOEO tests are very important.

Thanks, I will try the KOEO test to see what codes I get. I am curious to see what codes I will get because before I did this work, basic tune up, I was getting a check engine light but only at slow, in town, speeds. It would flicker on and off briefly never staying on. The exhaust needs some work, it's leaking at the manifold flange.
