Best FE headers for 4x4 F250 for 68 body on 79 frame
Have started a winter project putting a 68 F100 2wd body on a 79 F250 4wd frame. It will consist of a 390, NP435 and not sure on transfer case yet, Dana 60 front axle. My question is what long tube headers would anyone recommend or someone have experience with this type of swap. Should i buy them for a 75 F250 4wd FE 360/390??? Thanks for any input………..

Long tubes? In terms of your spec, yes.
I forget which but it is either Hedman or Flowtech that has a two-piece passenger side FE header that is less of a PITA to install. Regardless, get'em ceramic coated.
T-case.. I suggest an NP205... it's nearly bulletproof. And do your research if it's married or divorced from the NP435 because there are two versions -2WD and 4WD.
EDIT: It's Flowtech: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post15553701

Thanks HIO Silver.. Ill see if i can find those headers you mention… T-case in the 79 frame now is a married dana 21 i believe, 2wd or 4wd only no HI-LOW behind the NP435, don't know how it ended up in the frame, guess the same reason someone dropped in the 390.. I do have a 69 F250 4wd rust damaged frame with a NP435 and divorced Dana 24 T-case… Could go that route…But Rather stick with The married NP435 and a 205 that I do not have in my inventory… The 205 should be a direct replacement for the 21 CORRECT???

I was in the same boat earlier this year until a rig showed up and donated its 435/205 combo. That was a good day... thanks to TurboHunter for his tech help. Both still need a rebuild/reseal and it is on my to-do list.
Go to this site and read up on the 2wd vs 4wd NP435 and with married or divorced T-cases: http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge...s/manual/np435
A divorced T-case might be a better option.
