I am replacing the heater hoses on my 99 Expy - I had one of the T fittings decide to start leaking.
Question - is there a hose under the intake manifold that takes coolant back to the back of the engine for the heater or is this a metal pipe the whole way? I have searched the internet high and low and cannot seem to find an answer.
If there IS a rubber hose under there, has anybody every had it leak? I'm trying to figure out if it would be worth replacing while I have the system drained. Considering the mileage and the fact that I can't see it, I have no idea what shape it is in.
It's a metal tube from the factory. Sometimes when the metal rots people will replace it with heater hose. So it's metal as long as it's all original under your intake.
