2017 Supercrew Raptor w/ 10 speed transmission

Dateline....Detroit Auto Show reveals the 2017 Raptor. Supercrew and cab, short bed, 3.5 Ecoboost and 10 speed transmission.

I'm surprised the news hasn't broken here yet.

It looks great. Obviously, it appears the 10 speed may be an option for 17's across the 150 line.

I think this has been discussed in the raptor sub-forum.
And the fact that the 10-speed may be across the board for 2017 has been discussed a few times on here.

Also, getting its own special frame and now a quad cab. Nice.

For the guys who don't think the ecoboost sound is all that great. I agree.

If FORD could figure out a way to bring out the whooooossshhhh of the turbos, that would really help. Nothing like the that turbo sound to know there's power under the hood...

I've seen rumors and speculation about the potential configurations prior to the NAIAS reveal. I was under the impression that an actual announcement might be worth mentioning.

Of course we can go back to the speculation part, perhaps about them creating a 6.2 eco-boost if you prefer. (Which would be awesome btw)

I see, I wasn't aware you were referencing any hard data in your post, since you didn't mention the NAIAS, or link to anything. Sounded like speculation to me. Maybe I'm just so used to it being that way.
Carry on . . . .

Since the 2017 Raptor has it's own sub forum, I'll move this where it belongs.

The only new things are the avalanche grey color and the wheels. Everything else was announced a year ago, including the 10-speed, traction control modes, hybrid transfer case, special frame, etc. It's the first time we've been able to see the super crew up close, but the cab is the same as all the other F150s, so nothing really interesting about that either and of course uncamouflaged spy pics of the super crew have been around for months.

We can also speculate about trim levels since they're obviously showing two different levels both inside and out in their pics and videos.

They haven't commented on whether the 10-speed will be more widely available or if Raptor buyers get to be the guinea pigs for the first year.

I know this is off subject, but I would like to know how long it'll take the 10 speed to make it across the board. Also, I don't expect the 3.5 to boost to Raptor power numbers, but I wouldn't mind seeing a few more ponies. Guess I will have to wait and see.

I almost think ford will boost this thing pretty decent. Last interview I saw with ford guy at the auto show he said Hp&trq numbers will blow away old raptor! What's that mean who knows but ford knows raptor guys want some juice so I expect at least 500hp out of this truck.
