Which door panel will fit a '96? Interior restoration project

It's not easy bringing one back to life!

I have a '96 Bronco (former owner used it as a "hunting vehicle", which means it was beat to hell) with a pretty ratty interior, and I'm getting all the parts ready to do a complete rebuild on her. (Finally got her mechanically road-worthy again after about 8 months of work!) Actually, I'm doing pretty well with it so far, and have replaced the junk that was there with a new leather wheel, excellent instrument panel, nice unbroken dash, nice dash pad, perfect factory radio, etc.. I found sources to have my seats re-upholstered in the original fabric (that will be next spring's project), since there are no aftermarket seat kits available that are original style. Carpet is no problem, nor the headliners.

This is what I started with:

And here's the progress so far. Not a lot, but I'm getting there slowly.:

My biggest issue in the interior seems to be the door panels. I've searched, but all the scrapyards have are really bad ones, and LMC Truck & some of the other parts suppliers have either originals in the wrong color or side, or they are selling those aftermarket ones which I haven't really heard much about (and they still don't look quite the same as stock). I'm a little wary of going with aftermarket. At least you know FOMCO parts are going to fit perfectly and look good!

Anyway, the other day, I found a new-in-box door panel for the passenger side, and it's perfect! Wow! Unfortunately, there was only one, so now I'll end up with 1/2 of a restored interior! lol!

If anyone knows of a source for a really really nice, or even NOS driver's side door panel, in blue XLT trim, I'd really appreciate the help. I believe I should be looking for 1992-1996, and it could be a F150, 250, 350, or Bronco, correct? (Someone told me that the F350 wouldn't work) When I do searches, there are a lot more truck parts out there than Bronco, so it increases my odds to know exactly what would work.

Here's what I'm trying to replace:

And here's what I was lucky enough to find yesterday. It was still wrapped in plastic & in the FORD box:

Help me out & let me know what will fit, and if anyone has a source for a very nice driver's side replacement, let me know!!! My wife is afraid of catching a disease in the truck, my dog ran away scared when he saw the truck, and none of my friends will ride in it with me as it currently is! lol! Help me bring some pride back, especially here where Chevy's are in nearly every driveway.

A couple of issues arise

92-95 has silver trim
96/97 has black trim

92/93 is crystal blue and different material

94-97 is lapis/royal blue and the correct material

94-96 F150 and bronco is the right panel and color
94-97 f250HD and F350 is the right panel and color

but the 96/97 has the back trim like you need

As long as it is NOT a crewcab(4 door) you will be fine

Your drivers door panel has the black trim but the dash has the silver trim
the New panel you got has silver trim

Thanks Brad! If I end up with the silver trim from the earlier years, it wouldn't be the worst thing to happen. In other words, I wouldn't pass on an excellent door panel if it had the wrong color trim bar. (I assume it could be replaced easily with the right one, like the dash trim can)

I had no idea that the 92-93 was a different shade of blue! See, this is why I asked. I'd have found one online somewhere and bought it, thinking I was getting a match.

And it's good to know that all the F-series will work. When you mention the crewcab, I assume you mean the rear driver's side door won't work, but the front driver's door would, correct?

That trim is not as easily changed like the dash trim.
It had pins that go thru the door panel that are then melted over to hold them on. You have to brake the pins to get trim off

Finding a driver's door panel is excellent shape is a lot harder than breaking the pins off & swapping out the trim bar! lol!

Some later crew cabs had rear power windows, so the switch panel is different, and those front door panels won't work for you.

^^^ What he said

Late 94-97 crewcabs had power rear windows and the front drivers door panel has a larger switch area to house the 4 switches
