Mpg sucks. Even with dpf delete
I deleted the dpf and installed a h&s mini maxx. My mpg lately has been adding up on average to just around 11.5. Why would this be. I thought deleting dpf helped increase your mpg. I'm sure me living so close to work doesn't help.me but I don't just start and drive it is let it warm up before I take off expecially right now because it's chilly here in WI. I updated the programer a few weeks ago 36 files were out dated. I've filled up 3 times since then. Iso it because I don't fill up until I have about 1/8 to a 1/4 in my tank. Before I updated my programer was set at mild tunes with 4 for smoke setting and set between either stock or performance tuner settings. Now it's at hot tunes with a 3 smoke setting at performance mode. I'm completely lost. I know I need to do an oil change but I would think that would screw up my mpg. I don't think 11 is bad compared to my hold truc k which was a gas hog just disappointed that I spent 2000 to get it upgrade for my mpg to get worse it seems.

how many miles on your truck.....mine has 85K and will never get the PMG of a new truck.
whats the rear end ratio.....mine is 4.30 and will not get the MPG of a truck with 3.X rear.
tire size matters too.....with bigger tires you will get worse mPG in the city but much better on the highway than someone with smaller tires.
as far as spending money to mod the truck to get more MPG, I dont think there are any that I would recommend that would result in a MPG increase substantial emough to recover the cost of the mods.
