Superduty 7.3 icp and ipr in an obs 7.3 ps

Are the icp and ipr in an obs 7.3 powerstroke the same as the ones in the superduty 7.3's or should I say are they interchangeable cun I use the ones from a superduty in my obs 7.3 PS?

sorta.

I think the SD's have the edge filter IPR. But the ICP's are the same>

So.. there are ... 3 ipr's iirc, but they are all the same except for stupid things like the edge filter.

Depending on the year of the OBS. The early ones take an IPR with what they call and edge filter, the late ones (96-97 ?) do not use the filter. I'm not sure on the ICP, but I think they are the same.

The edge filter doesn't matter. =)

There was a guy on here a few years ago, that was having trouble with his oil breaking down after1500 miles or so. His problem was that he had an IPR with the filter in a truck that call for the non filtered one. After installing the correct IPR, his oil problem went away, so I'd have to say the filter does matter.

I'm running a 94.
With no edge filter. =)

The filter is a restriction into the IPR, thus creating more backpressure on the HPOP.
Thats probably why he was having a break down issue.
