Diecast Collectibles
I have a fairly good diecast collection going on. So far I have the following in 1:6 scale.
1. Flat head ford V8
2. 426 Hemi V8
3. 350 LT1 V8
the following is in 1:18 scale
1. 1932 Ford 3 window coupe in metal flake blue
2. 1939 Ford Deluxe Business coupe in Midnight Blue
3. 1957 Chevrolet Nomad in Red with a off white roof
4. 1962 Chevrolet Belair in light blue
5. 1967 Pontiac GTO in golden brown with black vinyl roof
Now this is my problem, I would like to add my personal vehicles to my diecast collection but wth you cant find them. I cant find a 1956 Fairlane Town Sedan in Diamond blue all I can find are crown Victoria's like that's all that was ever made. I cant find a 1963 Belair 2dr sdn in Saddle Tan Poly all I can find are Impala SS ones. I sure as hell haven't seen any 1982 F150 trucks let alone flare side versions.
What gives? what determines why some cars are made as a diecast and some aren't? Cant be popularity because I wouldn't believe a Garbage truck would be a popular vehicle enough to warrant its own diecast version in 1:18 scale.
Years ago I came across one guy that would cobble together your vehicle from production Diecast cars but I don't know where he is or what the website was even called. But it sure sucks that I cant add my own vehicles to my personal collection.

Well it looks like you got your info.
I just watch the show today don't know if it was a new show or rerun, but he was talking about Sgt. Rock and it's build.
He did name two sources for the diecast vehicles. One was Acme Diecast they do them in 1:18 scale. Unfortunaly I didn't hear the other source, but it looked like they may be Hot Wheel size.
I guess all this is now a mute point, but I thought I'd still share it.
