My bro, has a 02, F350 7.3. Told me he changed the fuel filter today. Ran it a few miles and stopped for a few min. Started and ran across town (5 miles). Shut it down. Came back out a few min later. Truck started, ran for 10 sec. then died. Restarted, ran a few seconds and died again. Third time nothing, would not turn over or anything...no headlights, dome, door chime...Nuthin! No idiot lights on when key turned to on/run????
I've seen the post on the IPR, and CPS, but why would he have no lights and such?
Any info from any one on this?

Check the fuse for your fuel bowl heater. #30 in dash 30amp, if it's blown put a new one in if it blows again disconnect the fuel bowl heater under the hood. No wait to start light indicates this fuse is blown

Why it won't run is another issue. A Scantool will help.

 

Sounds like the alternator quite and the batteries are dead? Gauge just reads voltage in the system, my light never came on in my e99.
