Looks like there was also a height restriction too.

Saw this over at thetruckersreport.com, and figured it was appropriate.

"Ooopsie!"

I thought 98% of driving a semi was knowing how to back it up and turn around?

It looks like the knee bracing on those bridge trusses wouldn't even clear the box.

not no more. these days, as long as you are breathing, can climb into the cab, are smart enough to start the engine, put the automatic trans in gear, and release the brakes they give you the keys and send you on your way.

Thanks for scaring the hell out of me Tom.
I've always had the utmost respect for OTR truckers.
Just another guy (or gal) doing their best to get their load safely to the destination, through traffic and inclement weather.

The thought of having my 'office' at the head of 80k rolling down the slab at 70 would seem to require professionalism.

As the average idiot gets even dumber, the pace of automation accelerates. Driving by humans will probably be unlawful at some point.

Mercedes is already doing it in Germany.
Damlier/Freightliner did some tests in Nevada.

Computers have better judgment than this person anyhow.

Better than *some* people, like this driver here. The $$$ damages are substantial, none of which will ever be paid back.

"She received her CDL endorsement on May 12, 2015 and is currently employed for Louisville Logistics out of Louisville, Kentucky."

By now that probably can be corrected to: "She is currently Un-employed..."
