Big Red: '15 F250

Picked this jewel up today, its a '15, F250, basically brand new but not, has 2700 miles on it. Pretty much a plain jane which is fine by me. I like the cleaning ease of the rubber mats. And no, its not a diesel, its got the 6.2 in it. As much as I've loved my diesel's in the past, I just couldn't justify twice the price for one basically new, or paying the same price as this for a diesel with 100k+ miles on it. I gotta say so far I'm impressed, this thing feels like a monster from 20 on. I'm sure it will pull anything I ever want it to just fine. Check her out!

(stole these pics from the dealership)

Had to first mod, gotta have my sat radio!

Love the look of it right there, I've had this radio in probably ten different rigs over the years and its funny how it works well in some and just looks out of place in others.

There will be plenty of future mod's to come. Immediate items call for the basic life needs, vent visors, better headlights, probably upgrade the battery, some nice floor mats, etc, etc.

Probably gonna just cut the muffler off and leave the two resonators for now, that seems to be a sound I can be pretty happy with. Eventually I'll add wheels, bigger tires, more lights, etc, etc, etc! Stay tuned!

congrats, love my '15 6.2!

The headlights are not the worst but can certainly be better. I was going to do LED headlights myself, even bought them but decided to go a different route at this point. They are for sale on here and your welcome to PM me if your interested.

I have the vent visors on mine as well, got them on a good deal from I think autozone when they had a great sale and rebate offer on them.

Looks nice. The 6.2 seems to be a good motor, I just rolled 17K on mine. It's always fun to upgrade your truck.

nice truck! better wheels, different headlights, and maybe a chrome grille if you plan on keeping chrome accents (bumpers wheels etc) would make that truck look like a way higher trim level! i'm always a fan of buying lower trim and changing stuff like wheels lights etc and its always hard to tell it was an XL truck!

Looks like a nice low maintenance truck that will be easy to keep clean, it looks like you could almost take a garden hose and wash out the interior. Is that a stick shift I see in there? I didn't think they made those any more.

Thanks! I'm actually meaning headlight bulbs, not the whole deal, I'll probably just toss some silverstar ultra's or something similar in there.

Vent visors a must. I have an XL also, love the vinyl floors too. But I have cloth seats. Keep the black grill and add some nice big 5 stripe pin stripe. Really changes the look of the truck.

They are just bulbs that fit into the stock housings.

Put my first load behind the ole' girl over the weekend. Gotta say I'm really impressed with how it tows, PLENTY of power, transmission is smooth as butter. Got about 14.5 with an empty trailer and 12.7 coming home with the car and probably another thousand pounds in the bed.

Oh, notice those Rockstars in the bed?? Pics coming soon.......
