2009 6.4 limp mode

I just acquired a 2009 F350 Super Duty crew cab with 6.4 diesel. The seller told me about the codes he's had with the truck, but nothing major. 10 minutes after driving off with the truck, it went into limp mode. I had to drive it that way 500 miles home pulling a loaded car dolly. OBD reader found several codes, but it couldn't reset the ECM. Local repair shop found several codes & reset ECM. Almost immediately, it went into limp mode again. Crank position sensor was identified. I replaced the sensor & had ECM reset again. Almost immediately, it went into limp mode again. This time "engine high oil level" was identified. After resetting it, same high oil level fault was found.
My question is; how does the system monitor engine oil level, and where is the sender located? Am I wrong to assume that I'm looking for something that monitors the level of oil in the sump? Is there a different "level" that it monitors? I can't find a replacement oil level sensor on any online parts sites. Am I being taken on a snipe hunt? Please; somebody point me in the right direction.

First question I have is there too much oil in the crankcase, if there is don't drive the truck, that code is there to stop a runaway from happening. As far as the sensor location one of our knowledgeable 6.4 mechanics will be along to help.
Some 6.4's have issues with making oil because of the regen process or a high pressure fuel leak, check your oil and if it's too full drain some out, many of us have had this issue, it's important to fix the cause as the diluted oil situation can have many bad effects on the engine, plus if it is a high pressure fuel leak that's just bad.

You drove it 500 miles in limp mode? Wow!

You said several codes, crank sensor and high oil level. What else?

Oh, and as Bubba said, is the oil level over full?

Oil level is fine, and has been the whole time.
Other codes were:
P0101- Mass Airflow Circuit Range/Performance
P0113- Intake Air Temp Sensor 1 Circuit High Input
P0302- Excess emissions level of misfire detected on cylinder #2
All those codes stayed away except for the #2 misfire & high oil level.
After idling for over 10 minutes, the engine will begin to clatter & miss. The miss will remain until the engine is shut off & restarted. The problem immediately goes away.

Has this truck had the EGR system and the DPF deleted?

I've done some more research and checking around. It seems that there is in fact, no oil level sensor. What the brilliant geniuses at Ford did was to tie injector injector power contribution in with presumed oil level. My #4 injector isn't contributing as much to overall power as the other cylinders are. Ford designed the system to assume that if you're weak on a particular cylinder, fuel is leaking into the crankcase instead of going to the cylinder. Thus they came up with the quantum leap that the crankcase must be filling up with diesel.
In the 600 miles I've put on the truck, the oil level has remained about 1/8" below the "full" mark. If you follow Ford's logic, having a weak injector for any reason will cause the limp mode code P252F for high oil level. The only way to keep the truck out of limp mode would be to invest $1000 in changing out that injector. Of the many forums I've researched, it looks like most of the techs don't understand this problem. Sounds like a convenient way to keep repeat customers in the service dept.
Am I wrong here?
