new positive battery terminal
hello,i have 1997 f250 7.3. i went to get the batteries upgraded today before winter hit and one of the battery terminals on the positive, on the passenger side is completely well...fubared.les schwab was able to get it off for the battery upgrade but itis loose and needs replaced.i talked to the local diesel shop and they told me $207 to do a marine upgrade on that terminal and dealership tells me 380 for new cable with terminal already crimped.these seems a crazy price for this . i know how to solder but i see nothing at the parts store for this gauge of wire and no terminal to accept all three of these wires?

true value hardware welding wire and copper crimp terms , silver solder in with wire , crimp then heat and solder more ,then shrink tube,, lasts forever , this is also how my solar batteries are done ,, 24 battery's going on 21 years old ,, never change a battery or a home made cable ,,, a big plus is welding wire carries lots of current compared to conventional auto cable cheers
