Heater Control Valve Question

Heater Control Valve Question
My 76 F100, with factory AC, seems to have a bad heater control valve. When I attempt to look it up, on Autozone.com, I see a break in SN, at 40000, but mine looks like the unavailable earlier valve. Also not available from bronco graveyard.
This is what they show:
74-79 Vacuum Heater Control Valve-Broncograveyard.com
Will the later valve, which seems to have been used through the 90's, work on my F100? Or is the earlier valve still available someplace?
My VIN is: F10GNC58182
1976 Heater Control Valve
Thanks,
Chris

The later control valve is the one your truck has.
The difference between the two is the earlier valve has two vacuum lines going to it.
Just so you know, the serial number is the last six digits of the VIN, yours is C58182. Autozone has it wrong. The actual break for the heater hot water valve is in late 1975 and the s/n break is X00,001.
EDIT: My mistake, I was thinking of the wiring harness and evaporator change. The valve changed in late '74 with the S/N U40,001.
