you might be refering to the dual friction. it provides more holding power over stock, I think 90% but the way it is set up, it will keep close to stock feel on the pressure plate engagement. as for the resurfacing, it is a must for optimum performance. for the alignment tool, if you have a friend that has one, perfect, if not a local parts store should sell a universal set for around $25. or rent (no place here ) it is just used to align pressure plate/disc to pilot bearing while mounting to flywheel. along with the clutch kit, should be instructions. while apart, spend the $10 or what ever, replace the throwout bearing. The kit should have a pilot bearing included, if not change for that you will need a puller. I think that's the basics. ooh maybe rear main seal if it's leaking.... good luck
