Filler Neck Midship

HI, I am new to the forum and I have a 1995 f150 extended cab. It has dual tanks and I replaced the filler neck for the mid ship tank. The problem is It wont take fuel like it should. I am wondering if I need to trim the hose back. I feel it might get kinked where the outside hose turns into the tank, its at a 90 deg. any help would be help full, and it is an oem filler neck.
Thanks again and I am looking forward to enjoy the rest of the forum.
