That must have been what it was like at the Shelby plant where they modified GM crate engines (new Northstar 4.0's) for the Series One cars. They modded the engines stateside, then shipped them to Australia for assembly into the car. The Series One bombed, they couldn't make a go of it so all of those engines were sold cash & carry, first come, first served. The report was that people were showing up with tractor-trailers, anything that would carry weight. To give you an idea of the prices, I got one of them, variously modified including the 300HP Cadillac cams -- $1500 total, and that was after a hefty third-party royalty from the factory middle men.
Wish I had been at the plant when they did the initial disposition, just to gaze at the bounty -- boggling indeed.

Buildings not empty yet and Havent got to the chicken coops yet. I think i quit! i have been to a few auctions in the past where there where maybe 25 to 30 or so flatheads and I thought that was alot.

Mostly 8ba's 48-53. And early 21. And 24 stud engines. Seems 59A's are not as plentiful or they are more popular? And find new homes quicker?

I only need one that's in good shape. That'll leave plenty to go around
