94 F250 7.5L Ac Problems
Hello all,
I recently bought a 94 F250 XLT and after replacing a faulty alternator and battery I found that my AC Clutch was pulling power and killing my truck overnight. It was fuse 6, and once pulled I no longer have the drain issue.
My question is how I go about fixing the AC system. The fuse says its specifically the AC Clutch. With the fuse in I hear a loud click for a second, the AC blows cold and the clutch will also disengage and engage about every 10 seconds or so.
Are there any tests I can do to determine if its a switch or a relay. Or should i start by replacing the clutch?
Thank you for any info and help.

Fuse Panel diagram for a 1994 F-Series truck:
There are more items on Fuse 6 than just the A/C clutch. Good time to break out a clamp on amp probe and DVM to see how much current is pulled on Fuse 6 then start disconnecting one at time until it drops to a reasonable level.
In lieu of a clamp on probe you can install the meter inline with the positive or negative lead on the battery. Do not try to start or run the truck..you will blow the meter's internal fuse.
