Looks kind of dead in here. Of course the way the weathers been so far this year, I can't blame anyone for not wanting to talk about get togethers and such.

Dale finished up with his project late last night and is having a problem. truck has only about 2 lbs of boost and high egt's. other than a faulty MAP sensor, boot break, exhaust leak or the o-ring at the spider what else can he check quickly?

Usually the connection to the Y collector at the rear of the turbo. There's a little pin sticking out of the collector that goes into a hole on the turbo flange to get it lined up right. Most of the time there's a problem it's because that pin is not in the hole and there's a 3/16" or so gap at the top between the collector and turbo. It's hard to see because the clamp is in the way, but odds are the nut on the clamp didn't tighten down as far as it used to.

he found both his intercooler boots blown off at the cooler so that explains the low boost and egt issue. However he still cant get over 8 - 10 lbs. cold start is difficult.

I looked at it this after noon and i fear he has bigger problems. idle has a dead miss and the blow by is really bad. also has white smoke at idel and when accelerating until you drive it a while. dead hole bad injector or both????

When he was working on it yesterday is was missing a few valve cover bolts o both sides. Turbo had a missing bolt in the center section. Both center section bold where the large bolts go thru holding turbo on we just sitting in the holes.

He did a good job replaciing everyrthing but definatelty got bigger problems.
