Affirmative. Thanks. Pennsylvania sure likes to use their road salt!

Hey all, Just out of curiosity I looked on Rock Auto.com for their price on the FPDM as we've been discussing. They have it for as low as $56.79. Same part# covers all three motors: 4.2, 4.6, and 5.4. They do offer three different options though, depending on if yours has previously been replaced or not. Even their most expensive option is $126. Looks like it shouldn't be too difficult a job either. As all of our trucks are getting up there in age and mileage it's time to start thinking of things like this.

Was that the total bill or are you saying that's what he charged you for the part? If it was just for the part, your friend gouged you.

It looks like we're going to have nice weather this Sunday. Hoping I can go outside and pull this thing have a look at it. I pray mine's not too badly corroded.

I just had a look at mine. Replacement is in its near future. Back of it looks pretty corroded. Someone said replacement parts have rubber mounting feet so the aluminum case is not sitting right on the steel frame? The picture I pulled from Rock Auto shows plastic spacers on the screws to accomplish the same purpose. I'll order it after the holidays when money starts to loosen up again. I'll just go ahead and replace it as cheap insurance.
I just replaced a fuel rail pressure sensor a couple months ago on my wife's Merc. It sounds like this part accomplishes the same purpose on our trucks. Not hard once you drop the spare tire carrier. She'll be pleased to know that mine's cheaper.
