Experience with Reproduction Original Style Gauges 55 F100
Good morning!
I want to use my original gauge cluster, in my 55 f100, and would really like it to have working Oil, Pressure, and Battery gauges in the cluster. PO had just installed a cheap gauge cluster under the dash. I honestly don't mind the under the dash gauges (and like to actually have numbers on the gauges), but I don't like dead gauges in the cluster.
Any experience bad or good with the reproductions (available at places like midfiftiy)? Anyone know who makes them? How about a x-ref to match the various stars on the gauge face to actual numeric readings?
I have my entire dash apart for clean-up, wiring harness, etc ... want to get the gauges all worked out at the same time....
Thanks!

I do have the cluster I pulled out of my truck... with working speedometer, as well as a couple others that I can use for parts.

A member here put some standard guages in the dash cluster holes for his 56, they are actually a standard guage size like a 2 5/8 I think. but the 56 cluster only shows like 90 degree sweep and its hard to find 90 degree sweep guages now I have some 180s that were cheap that I will probably canibalize.

I have the ones from Mid Fifty and so far so good (5 yrs). The oil and temp are setup for a SBC, so my 390 always runs hot on the temp gauge (but I run an external gauge because of it). I guess if you wanted you could find a different sender or modify the sending unit wire if your not running a SBC, but I like numbers for temps.
