none starting/sparkplug problem

hey guys,

our 92 f150 5.0l wont start.it will try but wont fire off.

today we check the sparkplugs and there all very wet, they have spark coming off them but its a very bright white spark and its around the tip.its not arching off the tips its arching around the tip.

these are new spark plugs that havent seen any road time.so the question is what would cause this probblem? just bad sparkplugs or somthing else is going on?

What kind of plugs did you install? Standard copper core work best.

Pull the vacuum line off the FPR and see if it wet with gas. If it is the the FPR is bad and Is flooding the engine

pull the line off the fuel pressure regulator and its dry after 5 mins of cranking the engine over

how long should i crank it over before it would show signs of wetness?

Was fuel coming out of the FPR vacuum nipple when you removed the vacuum line?

Did the engine fire while cranking it over after removing the vacuum line from the FPR?

when you turn to on position not starting it mind you. Do you hear the fuel pumps? If not check the fuses that are under the hood you may have one blown they are on the driver side near the brake booster if I remember correctly. Sounds like your not getting fuel.

I had this happen on a Buick once. And it was the PCM turning on the injectors when ever it felt like it.

The floor got hot and melted the seat belt covers WTF??? I know the cats can get hot but I've never heard of something like this. Was this only happening on the passenger side of the truck. Go down and check for an exhaust leak near the area that got hot.
