80-86 manual pedal assembly

I am starting the process of swapping out a 351w and ZF5 tranny out of an 89 f250 into the bronco. Since the bronco is currently an AOD, I know I will need to swap steering columns and pedal assembly's to those from a manual from the 80-86 range. None of my local junk or parts yards seem to have the pedal assembly and I haven't been able to find any good pics online so I know what I am looking for.

Does anybody have a few pics of a pedal assembly, or an extra one laying around they would like to part with?

You need a hydraulic pedal assembly for a ZF as the bell and slave boss are all part of the gearbox.
Hydraulic clutches were introduced in 1983.
Prior to that trucks had a mechanical clutch linkage.

Gary Lewis has a lot of information collected in his threads about putting a ZF-5 into his Dad's '81(?) truck.

Thanks. I searched his thread but didn't see any pics. Should it look like this?

The description says 1986 F250.
"Hydraulic trucks only"
So I'd guess you can drill out your firewall, mount a master cylinder and be good to go

quick question on clutch's does anyone know how to determine if you need a 10" or 11" clutch? I would imagine that the flywheels would need to be changed to swap? i need a new clutch and want to get the right one but if interchangeable i would opt for the 11".

Some aftermarket flywheels are drilled for both. Not sure how to tell what you have in there now though.

Called napa and they list both a 10" and a 11" clutch for my 86 f150, when i asked how i can tell what i have he said take it out and measure it. I have the means and mechanical know how to do so but my shop is also my families place of business and cannot be tied up for more than an afternoon.

Buy both kits, install the correct one when you know which it is, & return the other.

But taking it out and measuring it is going to be the only way of seeing what you have, there's nothing that can change that... what was installed was dependent on how the thing was equipped and when it was built, and nobody has a crystal ball to see what your truck has....

I thought the OP had posted asking about clutches! So I based my reply on the OP's donor truck's setup, an 89 F250 with the 351W and ZF5, not what your 86 F150 has. I looked at Rockauto and Autozone.

... which is a good reason to start a new thread if you have a new question.
