Back to the Drawing Board with my Fuel Pumps

Ok all, I thought I had it and now I am just "Thinking out loud". For the past three to four days I could turn my truck over and heard my HP pump kick on, it would stay on for about 2-3 seconds then shut off...BUT I had no in-Tank pump. After seeing that I did not have power at the tank, I tracked the PK/BK line back to the Inertia switch where it was dead. I made te same connector change to the FP Relay female connector So long story short, I then pulled the Harness found three cut wires, Y/W, Blk/Pk, and one other... I fixed them, hooked them up to the connectors near the EEC, and checked for power, I now had Power at the pump. Along the way I checked my FP Relay, the new (5 prong relays) (I have found that if I moved the yellow (constant line) from its OEM position in the female end of the Relay, to the empty socket, it matched up the power correctly). Now when I connect the relays, my pk/bk line (from Inertia switch (connected by Brown wire from FP Relay, got so hot it melted. I now have the EEC relay apparently connected correctly, but I cannot get the FP Relay to work without heating up. I can though jumper the Pump and hear the Tank pump running now, though I don't hear the HP pump.... Any ideas?
