Need ideas for new seats

I have a 61 PUP that the prior owner put seats in fastened w/2X4s.These seats do not fold forward.
What seats will fit this pickup w/out using wood to hold them down? I have the braces near the engine cover. Should I make an iron brace or is there an easier way to fasten seats? Is there a seat that will fit like the originals?

seat

My seats are trashed the springs are ok so i'll make a run at reupholster. Failing that I was looking at low back boat seats. The original seats are about 20" wide depending on upholstery. the spring is about 19" wide the seat floor bars sit 17" wide and the seat bottom bolts are 15". Boat seats are not dot approved is my guess but do tend to take a pounding and can be found in these small sizes and lots of colors. If the wood was through bolted with large thick washers out side it would be muck stronger than the original. The oem seats were little more than a stout lawn chair bolted to the floor. I relocated the rt side to make room for a mod the to doghouse, off set on 1 x 1 x 1/8 angle iron. I'm a fan of the steel over the wood more compact. Good luck

Why not just track down an original set of seats and bracketry and send the seats off to the upholstery shop?
They are reasonably comfortable once rebuilt with foam in place of the original jute that was inside of em' .
over the years i tried a couple different seats but ended up coming back to the originals.
even found a cloth that looks damn near original to the woven vinyl that was in there.
