97 F150 4x4 XLT 5.4L no fuel to injectors

Need some input. I had two cylinders misfiring, removed COP, injectors and plugs. Reinstalled all parts and reconnected all sensors. Now I am not getting fuel to the injectors. Double checked for disconnected wires and hoses, checked all fuses and relays, also the inertia switch. Fuel pump does not hum when key turned on. Tried hitting bottom of gas tank. My question is, before I pull the tank again, is there something under the hood I may be missing. It does get quite crowded at the rear of the motor. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I assume you checked for fuel pressure at the test port on the fuel rail.
The pump only runs a couple seconds at ignition on before cranking then stops.
Cycling the ignition should build fuel pressure if the pump is able to run.
What condition do you have?
If it does not run, is there any voltage at the pump connector when you try?
Then it's decision time.
Good luck.

Do you get power at the inertia switch for about 2 seconds when the ignition switch is first turned from OFF to Run? Checking at the inertia switch is a lot more accessible than the pump connector located on the top of the tank.

You need to half-split the system so you know which direction to focus on.

No pressure at thr rail. Will have to check for voltage at the pump. I'll let you know the results, thanks

Check it first, you don't have to drop the tank to get to it...

Thank you Bluegrass 7 and projectSHO89. I tried testing for voltage at the inertia switch with a test light instead of my meter. However after unplugging the switch the fuel pump started working. Just one of those days. I did cure the misfire in both cylinders. I think with almost 300,000 it may be time to change all the injectors, coils and plugs. Thanks again for the info and where to start
