Ford GT40 chassis number P/1046 defeated Ferrari to win the Le Mans endurance race in 1966.

Nice to see someone's doing this project-----hope this GT40 lives on forever in a climate controlled parking spot, free admission too!

Thats awesome. I can't wait to see the finish product and I hope its well preserved for future generations to witness

I just watched a segment on Jay Leno's Garage on CNBC That was pretty good. They drove a 1967 street version. Then showed a 2005 I think it was street version. Then they showed off the 2016 soon to be produced race version.
A 600hp v6 ecoboost powered monster.

I took these at the Miller Collection in Utah. Only place in the world where you can find a GT40 MKI, MKII, MKIII, and MKIV under one roof! Oh and it included a Le Mans winner. Of course they also have that nice little Cobra Daytona Coupe, insured @ $30M.
