Heater hose part # and installation help

There are a good number of parts from all the vehicle manufacturers that go out of production once those parts are not used on the assembly line +warranty years or 5 years. It's just not profitable having the supplier continue to keep it in production or build up an inventory and store it.
If you think you are going to keep a vehicle long term and the parts are something unusual but theoretically are going to need to be replaced, get it before it's going to go out of production. I've got 2+ more changes of OE production line brake calipers and rotors for my '03 truck in my inventory, plus some other stuff for example.
Luckily my truck does not have that complicated of a heater hose assembly. But when I installed my coolant filter I also installed a manual shut off valve like the poster above did. For the hose connection I used 5/8" copper tubing, which is something HD or Lowes won't have, but it's OD is 3/4" and fits the heater hose. I also have a 3" section in my emergency kit along with hose clamps in case I ever have a hose leak.

I hate those spring clamps with a PASSION! I’m thinking Oetiker clamps, I’ll never need to remove the hoses, I’ll double hose clamp the heater hose to heater tube hard line though.

Dang it Jack now you're going to make me order one too even though I still have my black iron pipe fitting assembly.
Oh and worm clamps are for the birds!

I'm aware. I actually wrote them an email last year after my plastic Y broke and inquired about offering one since they offered a similar product for dodge dicks. Coincidentally a few months later I got an email of a NEW product. It's just too pricey.

I’m going to try to install this fitting tomorrow or Saturday and do a write up. I also want to pull out my heater hose shutoff valve and rethink the hose barb swedge fittings and go with something that’s one piece. I have been looking at a PEX valve with 3/4” inlet and outlets, it should hold fine with some double bird clamps and new 1” heater hose...

Oetiker clamps are nice but one issue. New hose when it gets warm takes a set around the clamp.
Yhe spring clamps keep the tension where other clamps unless you get them really tight will loosen.
It's not that the clamp actually loosens. The runner under the clamp mover from under the band. Even
the spring clamps have the rubber of the hose move. They compensate for it by constant
tension from the spring.
