Greetings to all . And just over two years since I own a 56 f100, purchased in mississippi ago, had no plates, have now restored and I would like to have plates of 1956. My question is whether the vin number you can find out which plate it deserves.

license plate. the plate the door and I asked in the mid-fifties, and that neither did.

 

So you want a 1956 Mississippi license plate for your truck? eBay is your best bet.

To answer your question, NO the serial number information will not give you the License plate information that was issued to that truck in 1956. As far as I know none of the states keep records that long.

The Serial number will usually be labeled as a VIN on titles, the VIN system didn't come about until 1981. Previous to that most were known as serial numbers.

Aqui placas cambia - no son por un vehiculo por todo los anos.
Cada 3 anos mas o menos el gobierno del estado cambia placas.

El major opcion es - compra una placa del ano y estado que te necessitas.

Here plates change - they aren't issued for a vehicle forever. Every 3 years or so the state govt. changes the plates. The best option is buy a license plate for the year & state you need.

Good luck in Asturias! Are you guys going to be like the Catalan's & try to be a separate country too? Show us a recent picture of your truck. Did you ever find a front grill for your '56?
