Shiny bad! Original good!
Looking good Dave. I have that calendar in my office.
I think I see rivets on the ebrake band.

Do you have the data plate that tells you the color? There were limited choices in 55.
The paint codes are available so you paint guy can get the exact color.

Loaded up the Cab and Front clip today to run it by the Paint Shop. My reason being, to get a computer color match from the firewall which is still in very good shape(paint wise). The employee came out to look at it and said the computer readings are not always accurate. He asked if I had the paint code and I said of course I do. 1955 "B" Banner Blue. He went into the shop and found the paint code from an original paint card. He mixed me up an 8 oz. sample of Acrylic Enamel to take home. Below are is a comparison of the paint and my firewall. Cell phone pictures do no justice, but I can tell you it matches almost exactly That was a lot easier than I thought. My plan is to clean up and paint the firewall and underside of the cab. I will then remount the cab to the frame and drive it until I can afford to get the rest of the Truck painted.

Also, I got some tootsie rolls delivered today. Most of you know what that means A few brake/clutch parts I needed and (yes Abe) my Power King Stickers

The blue looks great. The blue is my favorite color after Meadow Green.

The valve cover decals look great!

It's amazing the difference the decals make on a re-painted engine, looking good.

Thank you Fred! I agree with you and it's all because of a lot of encouragement from other FTE members!

Having all my ducks in a row allowed me to accomplish a lot today.
- Brake/Clutch assembly
- Emergency Brake
- Battery Tray
- Exhaust system
- Drive Shaft
- Gas Tank

Getting closer to the next mile stone

Prepped the bottom of my cab today with a wire wheel. Then POR 15 Degreased, rinsed, metal prep, rinsed and and now let dry a couple of days before I paint it. Also received my fuel pump rebuild kit. 4 pages of instructions but I'm sure I can handle it

The underside of your cab looks great. I see no rust through.

It is in pretty good shape Abe. The driver side front cab corner is rusting thru from the inside so I will probably replace both sides at a future time. They were both stuffed with mouse nest so when the truck was sitting outside, I'm sure it sucked the moisture in like a sponge.

The bottoms of your doors look pretty good. Looks like the driver's door might need one work though. Correct, or am in seeing old weatherstripping?

That looks great!
Take lots of pictures of the fuel pump rebuild. Can you say what the kit set you back? I checked out his site and he doesn't have prices. I have two fuel pumps and I think they both work, but rebuilding one might be a good idea to have one in optimum condition.
