Another oil leak

I've got an oil leak that appears to be puddling up under the hpop. I replaced the hpop a month ago so I doubt it's the hpop or the gasket. The lines look dry too. There's a sensor on the driver side towards the front of the engine up top that looks pretty wet, I disconnected and the connector looked wet inside too. Can anyone tell me what this sensor is and if it can be the cause of the leak?

The truck is going to the shop Tuesday to find the oil leak, I'm just trying to prepare myself for potential leaks

That is probably the ICP sensor. Yes it can leak. If you have oil in the connector, it is going bad anyway, replace it. The truck should run and idle much better.

It's got a purple rubber o ring inside the connector, is this the same connector that you're talking about?

Top of the picture is the sensor. You can clean the top of the engine off with some Simple Green and low pressure water from a garden hose. Cover the alternator and the PS pump with a shopping bag spray the Simple Green on a cool engine, let it sit for several minutes then hose off. Remove bags, allow the engine to dry, run the engine, then look for leaks.

I've tried cleaning it and it looks likes its the icp. There's a small puddle under the hpop and on the valve cover under the icp

You can replace it by yourself. Save you some money. The old style ones are kind of hard to get off sometimes. They changed the design so the new one will be easier to put back. If you have an older one on there, you will need a thin open end wrench that will fit it, or a thin adjustable. The new ones they made the body of the sensor basically shaped like a bolt so it is much easier to put back in. Do yourself a favor and get OEM. No autoparts store garbage on this.

I'll be able to handle it if it's definitely leaking, would this leak be enough to leave a few drops on the ground every night? And I don't notice a leak at idle, does this sensor leak under a load?

It depends where it is leaking from. If it's just through the connector, I highly doubt it, but if it is at the threads, maybe. I would look at the valve cover gasket where you say you saw it too. But if you have oil in that connector, that sensor isn't long for this world.
