Took it in to a shop. It's leaking a lot of oil. They said there's a bad valve. I have no time to work on this truck since it's my work truck.

I'm looking for immediate engine replacement. Used motors are fine.

Does anyone know where in Los Angeles I can get a used 7.3? Even a 6.9 for all I care. Just need an engine to continue working. Desperate right now.

It would be great to find a place that will install as well. I can't afford the money or time to rebuild. A quick swap is what is my best option.

However, if I can't find a place that does this. I would like to hear your guys opinions and suggestions. One thing that is not an option at this point is for me to do anything to the truck. I know almost nothing, and I'm even less handy.

Time is the most important factor here. I need to get back to work. Just had my first kid 2 weeks ago. Can't be down now.

I drove mine for about ayear with a bad valve.

 

It's throwing smoke and losing 20mph on Highway. I'm sure it's something the experienced guys can fix here. But I'm not knowledgeable and I run my business on this truck. I don't have time to play around with it right now unfortunately.

 

Did you try craigslist?
