F250 Suspension Question (new to forum)

I have had my 1993 F250 HD since it was new. It only took me until today to notice my truck has NO front stabilizer bar. I will be replacing the shocks and thought I should do the sway bar bushings as well, when I went to measure the size of the bar is when I noticed I do not have one
Can anyone tell me if FORD forgot to install mine or if for some reason that part was an option? Seems crazy not to have one, no?

In all the years you have driven it has it ever tended to do spontaneous barrel rolls??

In all seriousness, some trucks left the factory line without front sway bars, some folks on here have found their truck to not have one in the rear either. I am a fan of having them but they are not necessary, and some folks take them off to get more suspension travel. As you have driven the truck as is for many years and obviously been happy with it I wouldn't sweat it. If would like a more stable ride they can be added.

lol! no barrel roll yet... I have just noticed the truck sways more recently but I assume that is mainly due to the shocks being pretty old now and probably in need of replacement. It is a 1993 and I still have less than 100K miles on it. I don't use it much and when I do, I drive it like a truck and not a sports car so that has probably helped to keep it on all 4!
THANKS

Is there a way/place to install a stabilizer bar on a TTB? Oh wait, yours is a 2WD, so TIB, but the question remains.

Of course there is, that is all the F-150/250's were offered with was TIB or TTB.

Yes W.McMahon, I bet most of that sway is from your worn shocks. Mine does it real bad... but I also have original shocks AND I removed both of my factory sway bars a couple years ago. Don't need 'em... I don't drive like a maniac and the extra suspension travel off-road is nice. I have no doubts that if I put brand new shocks on, that alone will cure the body roll.

Well it don't help my springs are also worn and sagging... almost 300,000 on them so I'd be sagging too if I had to carry a truck around for that long!
