There's a guy selling his 2006 F150 XLT 2WD here in Vegas. The truck has a 5.4 with 98,000 on it. It's super clean hardly any scratches. Interior is perfect. The truck has brand new 35" tires and wheels, 6" lift, projector headlights and LED taillights. The guy wants 17K for it. KBB says $11,500 and Nada says $14,500. What do you think would be a good price to get this truck at? I have included some pictures so let me know what you all think

I think what Steve(ill) is saying that things like aftermarket wheels, lifts, euro lights, etc., can be viewed as detracting from the value of the truck. If all the things the current owner has done to personalize this truck are the things you would want to do yourself, then they might be enhancements to the sale, but never should be considered as adding to the price of the truck.
Two years ago I paid 10,000 for a 2006 XLT regular cab with 65,000 miles and a one year warranty from a Ford dealership. Two thousand more for a crew cab is about right, though you don't get any kind of warranty...

I just bought a 2006 xlt 2wd extended cab with 61000 miles, with a bedliner and a fiberglass cap in June for 10k. If you really like the truck imho I wouldn't go higher than 14,500. 17k is his asking price it doesn't mean you have to pay that.

I'd make an offer somewhere between NADA and KBB. There are way too many great F-150's out there to get stuck on just one.

Seems like he's trying to get a little too much of his money back for the aftermarket upgrades..it really depends on your budget and how much you love the truck though.. I think 12k would be a fair price, but if it's everything you want and would lift it and do those upgrades anyway then you might like that's it's all done.. I just paid 14.5k for a 04 4x4 super crew short bed Lariat with a 6 inch lift rims tires and an iron cross front bumper and rhino lined bed.. so 17 for an xlt and 2 wheel drive seems a little high to me..but this should go without saying but obviously get it checked by a trusted mechanic and get a car fax if possible

To me the lift and big wheels and tires decrease the value.

I bought a 2005 xlt 4x2 last year from a ford dealer that came with a 12,000 mile engine and drive train warranty. It had 80,000 and im at 97,000 miles now and i paid $11,000, which was high but the truck is super nice.

so, his price for the truck is way above book value. However, you have to consider the cost of the wheels, lift kit and other accessories. If you would lift it anyway, it could be a good deal....the labor is all done. My son had a lift put on his gmc two years ago and the whole thing cost him over $6,000.

Another big consideration for me would be the differential gears. Have they been changed to compensate for the huge tires? If not, the performance and gas mileage will be greatly affected...that is another $500-$700 change....

good luck!!

Too many it's a plus..
I understand if you don't want a lifted truck it might decrease the value for you..but then why would you even be looking at a lifted truck..there's plenty of non lifted ones for same.
But I don't see how wheels detract from the value, as long as there not ugly almost anything is better than stock..same with tires.

That stuff doesn't add much value though and the guy is definitely trying to get too much of his money back
