How to get into the mirror??

I have a pair of 92-96 OEM power mirrors on my 79 F100.
The question is how do i open the mirror to get to the motor etc to remove it?

Its not related to the 79 truck so I'm posting on the year specific to the mirrors.

Any help is appreciated

It's a delicate procedure but you can carefully pry the mirror out of the housing. It snaps into some mounts inside.

No need to remove the motor. It adjusts just like a manual

And chances are you will wreck the mirror taking it apart

I'd sure like it if my 250 had power mirrors! That right mirror is a bitch to set by your self. I did it today after someone bunped it. it took 5 times in and out of the drivers side.

I wonder if the harness is in the door for them on my truck???

No. No harness unless it is a factory power mirror truck.

And unless you have the small sport mirror, you cant get power
