2010 5.4 F150 FX4

I have been having some very bad acceleration/hesitation issues going on and not even sure where to begin troubleshooting, I've read other threads on the issue but seems to be a wide variety of issues but none with a 2010 model that I can find, but im sure 5.4 is 5.4, with that said any suggestions on what the issue may be?

Welcome to FTE.

For starters, is your check engine light on? If the hesitation/miss is bad enough, it should have come on by now. Also, how many miles on the truck?

  • clean the MAF sensor.
  • inspect and clean (if necessary) the throttle body.
  • when was the last time that the air filter was changed?
  • what's the condition of the spark plugs?
  • are there any DTCs?
    etc., etc., etc..

Welcome to the forum, Chris H7710! It sounds like you might try to solve this puzzle yourself, but keep in mind you can always get your local Ford Dealership involved if you run into any obstacles. What's the current mileage on your truck?
