I live in Yakima, WA pretty much in the exact geographical center of Washington state. I am hoping to get some parts together to see if I can get it to turn over this weekend. I need to do some draining, and rework some hoses, and blah blah blah. I have not touched the engine yet. I do have to remount the radiator and get that flushed as well.
I am planning on putting new plugs, points, plug wires, filters, etc on but now I need to get some parts numbers for all of these issues. I am going to bypass a the generator and fuel tank, just to give me a clean startup. Any part numbers would be appreciated! lol

I am still exploring those options. Once I can see if the engine runs or not, then I can decide. I know for a fact, I don't want to paint it. It is going to look just like it is, minus some chrome here and there.

Well I finally have got some time on my hands and started fiddling with my truck. I cleaned out everything I was comfortable doing, unhooked the generator, changed all the fluids, got a new 12v coil, plugs, wires, rotor, cap, points, condenser, and found an old used 12v battery and let her rip. After a little effort I got the old flathead 6 to fire up. My wife was shocked. Just to recap, I have never ever messed with a vehicle before, so this is uncharted territory! lol I have decided that even though it is running I am going to take it in and have it worked on a bit. This vehicle didn't move for a very long time and everything I have read about springs, valves, and bearings would make it a smart move to do so. Since the engine runs, and I love the look and sound of it, I have decided to basically stay stock with it. If I keep the engine, might as well keep the tranny, driveline, and rearend since they all match up and were born together, right?

Congratulations on getting your engine to fire up! It should help you along as you get into your build because you've actually heard her run. And I think that is smart taking it in. I took my 239 in before I test fired it and they discovered I had a cracked crank (I was foolish to not drop the pan and look myself, I'm learning still)...better to be safe than sorry!
By the way, your truck has an awesome patina

I am wanting to take my time and do it right. From the moment I saw it, I knew I would never paint it. It looks perfect. I need some bed work, and a new grill, but other than that I hope I can just leave it as it. My daughters boyfriend asked if I was going to paint it, I told him I was going to just leave it, and he said it took mother nature a long time to do that I wouldn't cover it up. haha even a 15 yr old gets it.

Congrats on "first fire"!
