My truck weighs 7000 lbs, which SD springs to get?

I have a 1994.5 CCLB 4x4 PSD with the ZF-5. It also has a 3rd row McKinley Custom Sleeper cab. I took it to the dump the other day to get on the scale and with a full rear tank and 1/2 full front tank it came in at 7000 lbs on the nose.

I've ordered the PMF RSK and am not sure if I should go with U or V codes up front. I'm moving to Lake Tahoe and and might be interested in a plow down the line. I know the X codes are for plow trucks but even if I were to do that eventually I don't think the OBS is heavy enough to need X codes.

Any input would be awesome!

Here she is in all her glory after a Raider victory last weekend.

if you are thinking of a plow, forget the RSK they do NOT work together

Really? Even with the 2" receiver hitch on the RSK? A lot of plows mount that way.

Forgetting the plow (kind of a longshot anyway) would U or V codes be better for my application? I went with the 2.25" kit.

Thanks! Yeah I love it. Hard enough finding a CCLB PSD with the ZF-5. The 3rd row was just icing on the cake!

Any plow worth putting on does NOT use a hitch to mount.

Wester, Fisher, Meyers, Blizzard, Boss, Snowdog, Curtis etc all use their own specialized mount

I personally thing V codes are too stiff for an OBS along with others.
But if you do a simple search on the topic You will find all the answers you are looking for.

As for the sleeper. That adds a 3rd row of seats in the bed?

Yessir! Captain's in the middle and a 3rd row bench in the back. It's basically a Suburban with a 67" bed. Still allows me to bring plenty of people and store our goods inside. I hate camper shells. Supposedly the conversion cost $13k back in the 90s when it was done.
