Steering Column for 69 Camper Special

Hello,

I'm looking for a steering column for my 1969 Ford F-250 Camper Special. These seem difficult to find. I found one place that will rebuild the old one if I send it to them for $425 + shipping. Are there any other options? If anyone has any ideas, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks!

Dan

Pick your part is a cheap solution, what's wrong with your old one , they are easy to repair

You didn't mention if your column is for an automatic transmission or, if it's for a manual 3-spd with the shifter on the column or, if it's a manual transmission column with the shifter in the floor or, if you have manual or power steering.

sounds high to rebuild a stock ford column.. they have all the parts in the catalogs.. dennis carpenters, mac's, npd are the ones I usually use... I have several parts trucks if yours is just destroyed beyond using..

1 part to my knowledge is unavailable
For automatic the arm that engages the neutral safety switch (bottom of column) previous owner broke mine off somehow . next PNP run going to grab a whole column just for that part .

For the lack of a better term, the 'pawl' sticking up out of the column for the NSS was in use through 1977. In '78, the NSS was moved to the side of the (automatic) transmissions.

My '68 Mustang, and the '66 fastback I used to have, also had the NSS on the side of their C-4s.
