My 95 power stoke makes a lot of road noise for some reason and I don't know why . It's a Dana 50 4x4 , it sounds like I'm riding on a rough piece of road . I do have nitro trail grapplers on it and the tires are worn on the front insides of the tires on the edges I'm not sure if this is the cause of the floor board vibrations or its my u joints . I packed the rear u joint and it stopped for a couple of days but it's starting to come back , would any one have any suggestions on this ?
That kind of tire wear can make road noise. Try rotating the tires, just to see if it makes a difference. If it does, then you probably need some front-end work, as the Dana 50 TTB front end is notorious for chewing up tires.
Yes. Grab the tire at the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock position to check for play. Play here indicates loose ball joints, or loose wheel bearings. If you watch the backside as someone else does this "test" you can differentiate between the two. 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock are the tie rod end test (bearing play can show up here too). Sometimes this isn't enough force to find a loose ball joint, I've pried between the ground & the tire for extra force before (truck on jack stand and low to ground for this). Inside tire edge wear would be an issue if the ball joints were worn, but it could also be the axle pivot bushings (opposite end of the beams from the ball joints). How does the truck go down the road? All over the place or decent?
Well I just rotated them today and had them rebalanced , and it drives better , could it be tow in causing it as well ? And the truck drives really good I know the struts in the front are the original ones and they jiggle a lot could that cause tire wear also ?

Bite the bullet, get a good alignment done and you can eliminate a lot of guessing. Almost impossible to check ball joints with truck on ground.
No bullet biting needed. Use a tape measure. Set it up so there's 1/8" toe in. Google how to set your own alignment, lot's of information out there. Are the wheels vertical (zero camber)? Again I used a simple angle finder to set my camber & it's better than most of these trucks. Cost me $0.
Ok imma try wheel alignment because it seems worse now , I found out that all they did was go side to side with the front tires and left the back ones on there !
Unless that was a free "rotation" I highly suggest you buy yourself a floor jack and jack stands and start doing most of your own work. I didn't catch it before that you're driving an F350. Ignore my prior comments about axle pivot bushings.
Where did you catch it now? Profile says F250. OP says Dana 50.
Long day I guess. His signature is not clear, I guess that tripped me up. Either way, something is worn out. OP delete that bit about an F350 in your signature, none of us care what truck you traded to get your current ride.
