Good day for the EX...
It's been a good day in Oklahoma for my 2002 EX. Two months ago I destroyed my rear differential ring gear. Got it fixed only to hear the ageing front wheel bearings making noise.
Well today I took the time to install two new Timken 515020 front wheel bearing assemblies.
It was my first time to tackle the job and thanks to Guzzle's write up, I was able to get everything cleaned and back together.
Took the ex for a test drive and wow is it quiet! I'm one happy camper. Bought the Timken's from rockauto with a 5% off coupon. Not a bad deal.
For those who need to do this maintenance, don't sweat the job, you'll be swore when it's over, but will appreciate the quiet ride.
Get it done before it gets cold!
