I wanna' know what the next line under "no loitering" says.

Thought there would be more folk looking out the windows.

All it says is "Private Property". I saved the picture and then blew it up to read the sign.

Thanx,

To my tired eyes, it looks like 3 words.

Over the top on that one! Holy Cow, and I love the building behind it. I pay a lot of attention to the backgrounds in these photos. I try to imagine the scene. In the jacknifed cabover I think the building on the left is some guy's shop and his family lives in the house connected to it by the breezeway shed. I love the corners on the house. Today the shingles are laced at the corners or a simple 1x4 tacked on....Ah, the old days. Oh wait...polio

This refuse truck reminds of about 35 years ago when I worked at New J Industries. They were building tube truck boxes like this truck with drop panels for loading grain, good concept but it was to heavy for the field and lightening it affected quality control on the drop panels.

The Faegol: I can't quite fathom what's going on with those front rims- how it almost looks like they are edge-bolted to an open brake drum. And the rear cast wheel could not look more different than the front.
Then there's the refuse tank: it's round and obviously tilts, but still someone thought it needed the capacity to rotate.

I guess the barrel can also rotate and unload to one side or the other. A lot of engineering thought on this one.

I googled around trying to find pics of a Faegol chassis that would show the center differential & twin driveshafts but came up empty.

This truck must have been intended for an extreme road environment, or other specialized application. The solid rubber tires had by 1930 been eliminated from use during the 1920s on most other commercial applications. Stu

Solid rubber wheels? Don't look pneumatic. (edit, hadn't refreshed before posting, as per above)

Looks to be set up as either/or dumping/loading since doors on top?

Is a cool truck, props given.

Interesting coupler up front. A tow behind crane? But there is steering of that front axle... ??? Looks heavy and dangerous.

Not a Ford, but it does begin with F.

It is a Fageol heavy-duty tractor for pulling trailers in a road train.
