Duel shock steering damper question

I have it posted on my build up thread but got 1990 f150 supercab short box I've only took a short drive in it ( not reg. And ins. Yet) but I noticed the steering is real stiff( kinda like power steering pump is craping the bed) the pump does leak abit I will looking at the whole thing better today
But I was wondering if the duel shock damper will cuz it to act this way( harder to turn the wheel) then a truck without this is my 1st set on an old f series ( I've owed 2 sixth gen. 6 seventh gen. And this one makes 3 eighth gen. But it got 7th gen front clip) so I know how they act

If the shocks are bad, it can make it very stiff to turn. Pull them and see how it is without them. Or maybe only use one?

I've typically only seen dual setups on trucks with very large tires. Probably way overkill on a stock size tire.

I do plan on 33x12.50 in the next few months ( the previous owner had 35's won't be driving it to much but I'll take them off then I'll know if its the damper or the pump
Just don't wanna buy a new pump if I don't have to
I can get a steering box for free but off a 87 f150 rwd if need be just swap the pitman arm if I understand things correctly?

If a truck is setup RIGHT, there is no need for steering stabilizers at all.
I Always remove them from my used vehicles

Found a big problem the frame bracket is rubbing in the on drag link so I'll take it off could just move the bracket 3 in. Up the frame but I will take it off keep on to it for if I go 35's or bigger
Update
Pulled the duel damper off and can palm steer full left and full right in park so its back to what expect
Anybody interested in the rest of the build up check my other thread 1990 f150 supercab short box ( war horse)
