03' 5.4 Battery intermittent draining

Pulled inside fuses one at a time and it seems to be #15 , I'm hoping someone can help narrow the problem, I hear a clicking sound coming from drivers door and have the fuse pulled for the battery saver relay when hearing it .
My test light is dim then pulses when I close the driver's door, any suggestions ?
Thanks in advance for your input.

How fast does the battery drain?
Is it too low to crank the motor after about 8 hours?
Get some idea of how large the drain is, to know what circuit issue there might be.
Normally the PCM, Radio and some other memory take current full time at less than a 100 milliamps.
A low battery might give you a false indication from relays etc.
An Alternator with shorted diodes will drain the battery when the motor is off but still charge when running.
Fuse 15 powers the Gem, shift interlock, ABS function etc.
Any of these could present a drain through the 5 amp fuse #15.
This is why it's somewhat important to know the drain level and associate it with the circuit involved and what it could be.

Good luck.

First off.... Thanks for responding. This is the events to date.

May 2015 Fla. Vacation, battery just died (1st time) just clicked.. wasn't sure why,had sat for three days, checked and cleaned terminals.
July 2015 dead, took and had batt cked. all good.
August dead again 1-2 slow turns and nothing. Cked batt age 5.5 yrs Motorcraft 72 mo.
bought new batt but kept old one and recharged, still holding charge on bench.
Sept. Sometimes sets for week or more no problem then next day dead. This is with the new 72 mo. Motorcraft from Ford Dealer.
Checked all fuses inside cab 1 at a time using g test light between Neg terminal and cable, light on dim, pulled fuse 14 (batt saver) light pulsed and got brighter same clicking sound as other times wheh I'd open door with batt dead... hmmm, replaced and pulled 15 same clicking sound as b-4 but a clicking sound coming from inside drivers door along with other clicking just not sure where #14 clicking lo ation is coming from, kind of sounds like under dash.
Two nights ago I disconnected Neg. and slow charged batt 36 hrs. been busy cleaning leaves etc. re connected Neg last night with battery at 12.38 V, cked this a.m it was 12.44 V haven't done anything but open door once, that's it.
We'll see how long it lasts B-4 going dead again.
1 more thing... I disconnected Alt cable at junction on firewall (selinoid I think) reconnected Neg then touched Alt to post looking for spark... none.
There was a very faint spark when I would touch cable to post prior to disconnecting Alt, none after I had checked after cking Alt though and batt holding chg overnight.
I think this is very close to how it's all happened, the frequency of it dying is closer.
To me it almost seems like a relay or regulator is sticking intermittently.
Bought it 5 yrs ago and this the 1st problem.
No water leaking that I'm aware of and the only thing added was a dealer recall item for the cruise control.
Thanks again for your help, I'll try and keep in touch quicker, just have alot of yd. work and will be storing the truck for winter.
Howard
Up date,
Battery went from 12.78 to 12.04 in 18 hrs
Removed cable from Alt.... no spark

I have had this happen two times on Exploreres.... First one I changed the battery as you said and the problem went away. It was 5 years old.

Second time I was "monitoring" the drain and the starter happened to CRAP out one day. Installed new starter and never had the drain again....Believe the 10 year old starter had a slow drain in some rotor spots.

Thanks for the responce, been a slow process for me, but will ck it out.
Just cked batt from setting 18 hrs and lost about 1/2 volt from full chg. Going to pull tires and ck anti lock lines for possible chaffing. Been hearing an increasing growl coming from front drivers, had pass side changed couple yrs ago and it had a,wire coming from it.
We'll see, just hope other's chime in, it all helps... I hate electrical problems.
Thanks again!

The wire on the front hub is the speed pickup for the ABS system... It probably is not the cause of battery drain. If you have an ABS problem, the ABS light on the dash would be on constantly. ...... growl is standard bearing failure mode on these trucks.

autozone can check the electrical pull from the starter at the battery to let you know if thats your issue (with the starter in the car)
