LETS SEE YOUR 67 TO 72 PICK UP

LHD suits me fine and with the bench seat the passengers can exit same side. It was originally black with a camper body from the history file, painted in the USA though and decals applied. Just need to give her a good service and then make the engine less asthmatic. Any suggestions greatly appreciated, like to keep original engine as the numbers match.

The numbers game, was a Chevy thing, not Ford's. The bump series, from 1967 to 1972 had 2 similar inline 6's, one 240, the other a 300 cu. in. or 4.9 liters.. and a variety of V-8's, including 352's, 360's 390's, from the factory, and all sorts of displacement motors put in by owners as after market. I am not sure of the 302 was early in the bumps, or later, but plenty of experts on this forum will chime in..
Oh, welcome to the Bump forum, and the Bump Kingdom... Most of the V-8 owners can solve your motor's asthmatic issues... Perhaps start with a good tune up, including timing, points, plugs, distributor cap, rotor, and a vacuum check for leaks.. Then, when you know all is in order, you can chase issues with more confidence of narrowing the field of ailments.
Good luck amigo, and welcome to the Bump forum...

X3 as long as it doesn’t have serious cancer ((really bad rot) I would try to keep it original. I bought my 67 restored and as much as I like it I wish the paint was the original sun faded look. If you go to fix the dents you could never match that aged paint look.
Very nice truck man! Grats.

One of the benefits of owning a vehicle, is that you can have a choice of options as to do what you want with it, unlike a company truck. Faded paint or not, the important fact is that it is still running.. and on the road in Germany.. Here's a salute to all the Bumps in foreign lands...

2X on a full tune up. Advance the timing to 10 degrees. Dual exhaust with high flow mufflers after some headers. Your gas prolly different than ours. So after you do all the above run it for a 100 miles then read your spark plugs. You might have to re-configure the carb to get more power.
Congrats on rolling rubber again.
