I am curious as to how you are liking it? How is the gas mileage? I have often wondered if the 1.6 is all that much better on fuel, our 2.0 Ecoboost AWD has been averaging mid 20's with mainly highway miles, I would guess 10% city miles...

Hi Steven,
My wife loves her Escape. It's a 2wd version, so our is a little different than yours.
It sounds like the mileage you are experiencing is similar to ours (just under 25 MPG) but that is a combined number that likely favors city driving like 70/30.

Rick...
That is interesting. I just bought the wife a 2016 Kia Sportage EX AWD. Everything I read the Kia got the worst mileage in class. We only have 1700 miles on it. It is a 2.4L 4 cyl 182 hp/177ft/lb torque, 6 sp auto. She is getting 23-26 mpg @70-75 mph. mostly hwy driving. I thought the 1.6 & even the 2.0 Eco Boosts got better mileage. Thanks for sharing this.
I looked at the Escape but I'm not sure I trust turbos as a daily driver. I still have nightmares of working for a Ford Dealer in the mid 80s & the turbo Mustangs.
if the smaller engine is driven where it in boost most of the time, it will get worse mileage than the larger engine. if the larger engine is able to stay out of boost or in low boost conditions.
