Received Spark Plug Class Action notice in mail
My dad recently bought a 2008 F150 CC 4x4 with 85,000 miles on it and received a class action letter regarding spark plug replacement in the mail today. I came home to find one in my mailbox for my 2006 CC 4x4 F150. Have other members been receiving this?
Cliff notes are that for replacement costs between $300-500 they will cover 20% of the repair. Between $500-1000 they cover 50%. Between $1000-2000 they cover 75%. The standard claim is limited to trucks with less than 120,000 miles (mine currently has 119,xxx). The service does not have to have been completed already.
*EDIT* There is more to it than this ^^^. Refer to their website.
The paper reads as if everything is done and ready to be processed but then the last paragraph says that the settlement will either be approved or disapproved on Jan 25,2016. Not sure exactly what this means.
Didn't see this posted up yet, I hope its not a repost. Is this claim legit? If so, that's be great! Mine need replacement BAD. If anyone wants more info, I'll be happy to share what they sent me.

Additionally, Ford has agreed to reimburse a higher percentage for consumers who paid even higher out-of-pocket costs to replace the defective spark plug parts and will also spend $5.2 million to pay the plaintiffs’ attorneys’ fees, according to the spark plug defect class action settlement.

All,
This thread is treading a very thin line. FTE user guidelines do not allow members to use this site to discuss legal action. I have left this thread up and only this thread so others do understand that they are also receiving these notices, but that is it. However, please refrain from legal discussion. You are an awesome group and I know you'll understand.
Thanks
