Any tasks I should add when I pull my bed??

Hey fellas, going to be pulling my bed some time in the next 30 days to properly stop the cancer thats underneath and in it.

While its off I plan to clean up and paint the frame, rear axle, and leaf springs.

Also going to do a Rear Diff Fluid change and change the rear brake pads. Yes I know both can be done with bed on, but Diff fluid change will be alot easier with no bed on.

Anything else im not thinking of that would or could be more easily done with the bed off. I.E. I dont want to have to pull the bed off in the future for a project I could have taken care of now.

No I have not! will def do those while I have the bed off.... I knew there was something I was forgetting and thats it!! thanks

The to do list I have typed up is getting long, and the numbers are getting bigger, but I have to get this stuff done. the truck is going to be taking some huge leaps forward on progress in the next month, need to get this stuff done before it gets too cold to work on it. My checking account is going to take a hit!! Ive been saving money for a while now, and now the time has come. My fiance is going to be happy when its over so she will get to go out to dinner again, ive been pinching pennys everywhere saving up for all these parts. I even went so far as to cancel cable TV, but it ended up working out for the better. We use an HD antenna for locals and I bought a chromecast for all the TVs. We actually like streaming everything better than cable. and its about 120 bucks a month less.

Is the harpoon mod part of the hutch mod kit from strictly diesel??? Or do I just do the harpoon mod, cutting the vent tube short while im doing the hutch mod.

If there is anything else anyone can think of feel free to advise

Brake lines. Pay close attention to line between fuel tank and frame. If it has any surface rust I'd change it. Its a matter of time when it fails.

No worries. I had dropped my tank to do the in tank mods and saw the brake line. I decided it would be ok at the time.

It lasted about six months. It failed on a Friday night rush hour traffic towing our camper.
