yeah these old trucks are fun, when I went through the 4-spd, it had sat for 5-years, I learned that there was no front seal, there are reverse threads on the inside of the front cone, called a "back wind", thats all that keeps the the gear oil in........ go figure

Casting numbers on my Y block bell housing for a 3 spd is TAAM7505A. Most people on places like Ebay wouldn't know the part number and would probably use the casting number.

If it's going to be a daily driver or do much highway cruising, consider a newer overdrive transmission. Here's one source:

It's not gonna drive more than 200 miles a year. Probably not more than 100... just the odd summer cruise.
