switched differential gear ratios, no difference really

So I just got my ronco from the shop today with 4.56 gears in the diff. and it feels the same. The acceleration feels exactly the same. Maybe there is a slight difference to it by I'm not sure. Do you guys feel a difference in switching the gear ratios?

I assume you went from 3.55? to 4.56. Should be able to feel the difference but its not like you are gonna feel like you added a 100 shot of nitrous. When it will show up is off road.

i felt this way to some extent when i went to 4.88's. the RPM difference was the more notable change. once i got used to them though especially around town and when cruising in the engines sweet spot on the hwy and hit a head wind that doesnt slow me down.

Thats what I was thinking, I was imagining a nice quick acceleration, but at the same time I don't drive wih a heavy foot.

On the hwy it feels like it's gliding and without even flooring it, maybe it mostly works on hwy and off road.

that was my biggest notice. wait till you try 4low you will be pleased. Also make sure you get your PSOM calibrated to the size tire your running. this will make the trans shift correctly and the speedo accurate.

dont forget to break the gears in, shouldnt drive faster than 60mph for 500 miles city/hwy driving ranging from different speeds. replace the diff fluid once you hit that mileage and you should be good to go. the front you dont need to worry about to much as its typically not used for really long periods of time at hwy speeds :-)
